The Community Catalysts Partnership arose from a series of  EU projects. These projects and the Community Catalysts web portal are managed jointly by the legal entities listed under partnership. Each of them is an organisation registered in a EU country and compliant with the GDRP.  


  • Where do we collect information about you?

The Community Catalysts Partnership may collect information from you in the following circumstances:

  • Sign up for accessing the platform
  • Sign up to one of our courses
  • Sign up to one of our events
  • Subscribe to one of our webinars
  • Contact us with a query

  • When you use Community Catalysts SOCIAL MEDIA

When using our social media channels on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, or Youtube the settings you have in place may give us permission to access information about you from these accounts. These cookies enable in-depth campaign reporting and the tracking of social network users when they visit our websites by using a tagging mechanism provided by those social networks. Cookies

The Community Catalysts portal is hosted by Simplero and by default it makes use of cookies for technical reasons and to enable a personalised experience for visitors and registered users. The Community Catalysts Partnership represented by Gaia Education is responsible for holding this data.


Newsletter subscription 

This site offers newsletter or email subscription services and cookies may be used to remember if you are already registered and whether to show certain notifications which might only be valid to subscribe/ unsubscribed users. We use external programmes to receive, send and manage emails and newsletters.


Google Services

On our web portal we use several google services, like, Google Analytics and Google Tags, your information is stored and collected as cookies. These cookies are used to collect analytical information about how visitors use the website. All web traffic and usage information is collected in an aggregate form. Personal data

The following list is the personal data we may collect about you:

  • First name and surname
  • Email address
  • Organisational affiliations
  • Country of residence
  • IP addresses

Sensitive personal data

We only collect sensitive personal data where there is a clear reason for doing so and this is limited. Examples of when we may collect this data is if we need to provide services to you and we need to make adjustments based on your physical health needs, or if we need to support you to be able to take part in our course.

There are six lawful bases for processing an individual’s data, however, only three apply to our activities:

Contract

Information is processed to fulfil a contractual relationship.

Legitimate interests

Information is processed because it is within the legitimate interest of the Community Catalysts Consortium to do so. Where we use information based on legitimate interests, we will always balance this with your rights and ensure that it has no privacy impact. 

Consent

Personal information is only collected and processed based on your explicit consent.

When you sign up for the solutions on our web portal or for events

Including:

  • To be able to contact you with details about the portal
  • To ensure that our solutions are tailored to your individual needs
  • So that we can cater to any mental/physical health needs and dietary requirements in case of an event
  • So that we can book and organise accommodation
  • To ensure that we are adhering to the health and safety regulations of the event venue

Sharing your story

We may use quotations from the feedback we receive on our web portal or social media. We also publish reports on projects and related activities like pilot courses that may contain information allowing to identify individuals. In both cases we include any of your personal information only if you consent to it.

  1. Marketing & Consent

From 25 May 2018 we only contact you for marketing purposes or to share our news with you where we have your express consent to do so. We will not send you marketing emails if you have asked us not to do so. 

We make it easy for you to let us know if you want us to communicate with you or not. Our forms have a clear opt-in to marketing and news tick box - if you do not tick it, we will not send you marketing emails. 

When you do give consent you can opt-out at any time by clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ at the bottom of our emails, or by emailing to info@catalysts.community..

  1. With whom do we share your information?

Your information will only be shared among people affiliated with an organisation of the Community Catalysts Partnership and with a dedicated role to process your information. We will never sell or pass on your information to anyone else.

Under GDPR, we will be fully transparent on how we use your information. The details are shared in this Privacy Policy. 

  • The right of access

You can write to us at info@catalalysts.community to ask us, free of charge, what information we hold about you. We will respond to you within 30 days after you have confirmed your identity. 

  • The right to rectification

You have the right to ask us anytime, free of charge, to change your details if they are not correct or up to date. 

  • The right to erasure

You can ask us, free of charge, to delete your information and in most cases we will be able to do this. There may be some circumstances in which we have a legal requirement to keep your information for a certain period.. 

  • The right to restrict processing

You can ask us to stop processing your information for certain activities or for us to suppress your information. 

  • The right to data portability

Individuals have the right to request their information and transfer it to another service. 

  • The right to object

You have the right to object and to request marketing messages to be stopped. 

  • Rights in relation to automated decision-making and profiling

This allows individual access to information about the reasoning behind any decisions taken by automated means. 


  1. Data Security - how do we keep your data safe?

We ensure that we have the relevant controls in place to make sure that your data is safe. Most of our data is stored electronically and we ensure that our network is password protected. We make every reasonable effort to ensure that the data you send to us is safe. 

Your data is only accessible by trained members of the consortium.

 

  1. How long do we store your information?

We will only keep your information for as long as we require it for the purposes set out in this document or for operational purposes or until you stop giving us your express consent. 

  1. How do you contact us if you have a concern or want to complain?

If you have any concerns, we are happy to address them swiftly and to work towards resolving them.
